I am a Conservative Blogger
Today, checking one of my various email inboxes for the first time in about a week, I came upon what seemed like a spam email that had somehow avoided Yahoo!'s relentlessly thorough spam filter (sarcasm duly noted). Before I explain further, here is the email:
Now, where should I begin? Possibly here:
1. Is this site for real? In this ever-evolving world of raisin-cake nutjobs, where everyone with a half-formed, ill-informed and bullheaded opinion can get a shitty livejournal or blog (B-G reprazent, yo!) and let fly their idiocy to the neverending sky of the Internets like feces tied to balloons in an updraft, it's getting harder and harder to separate sarcasm from morons being serious.
2. Where in the blue hell would anyone get the idea that I am a conservative blogger?? I mean, if they mean conservative in that I don't post a whole lot, then I'd be like "Well, that's true. I DO suck." But I don't think that's what they're implying. I mean was it this posting that gave them that idea? Maybe this one? This? THIS?? Was it from me linking to John Kerry's website? Or linking to wacky liberals?
3. If this site IS for real, how in the hell do they suppose that documents that have been proven true again and again are false? And how do they suppose that spam emailing every blogger under the sun begging them to investigate said documents? Are they really relying on that 12-year-old kid sitting at the computer in his adoptive Mom's farmhouse basement in Kansas to check all 8,170 results on Google? Are they really reaching out to the Internet stalker community? I'm almost shocked that the website isn't a Geocities page (with apologies to Space Lord).
It just boggles my mind. It really really does.
EDIT: I totally fell for it. Go here to take the Patriot Pledge!

RatherGate proved that bloggers are the best fact checkers. That is
why we are writing to a few bloggers asking for help.
Yes Bush Can has collected several documents that are clearly suspect.
But we need your help to prove they are fake:

Let's spring to action before these documents needlessly tarnish the
reputation of our Commander and Chief. You know the drill: analyze
the
handwriting, search for factual errors, and post your discoveries.
And keep us posted by sending email to FakeDocs@yesbushcan.com.
Thanks in advance for your help.
